| Welcome to the Bay Arena Adult Skaters Club at The Bay Arena, Bay Roberts, Newfoundland, |
The Bay Arena Adult Skaters is a group of Adult Skaters who come to the Bay Arena to enjoy a hour of skating,
fun and friendship, this hour is dedicated to skaters 18 years and older. Many of our skaters have come back
skating after an absence of thirty years or more. If you feel like you would like to take up the sport of skating, come
join us here at the Bay Arena, on Mondays at 10:30 am and Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at 9:30
am.
Meet old friends or make new one! Every Friday, after skating the Skaters go up to The Bay Room for a social
hour, when they enjoy coffee, tea, hot chocolate and some timbits, compliments of the Bay Arena.
Several times a year the need for a special party comes along. At Christmas usually at the last skate before
Christmas we have our party. At this time the Skaters invite their spouse or a friend to come along, every skater
brings along some goodies and the spread that we have is awesome. There is music, dancing and a sing-a-long.
Then at the end of February we have a special birthday party for our eldest skater, I won't mention who this
person is because she don't like attention. This event is a big celebration when her family and friends along with
all our skaters join in the celebration. The next event is the opening of Winter Carnival for the Town of Bay
Roberts where the Town provides free skating for all Adult Skaters and cutting of the cake. Finally, at the end of
the season, calls for another big celebration, the yearend party, once again every skater brings along a lunch, and
we have music, dancing and bar service. A great time is shared by all!
The staff here at the Bay Arena are eager to meet you and look forward to serving you. We recommend that all
skaters young and old wear a CSA approved Skating helmet.
